Charlotte Woodward is a Senior Associate in the Dispute Resolution team at Rosenblatt.
Charlotte trained at Rosenblatt and qualified in March 2017. She has extensive experience of multi-jurisdictional, high value commercial disputes, regulatory matters and investigations.
Charlotte has acted for both Claimants and Defendants in claims encompassing contractual disputes, civil fraud, misrepresentation, breach of fiduciary duty, shareholder disputes, and professional negligence.
Recent experience:
- Advising a Defendant in a multi-billion pound claim brought by a foreign tax authority in the Commercial Court, involving complex litigation in multiple jurisdictions (Skatteforvaltningen (The Danish Customs And Tax Administration) v Solo Capital Partners LLP & Ors [2021] EWHC 974 (Comm)).
- Acting for a household name Plc in a successful action, where the Commercial Court found that its former CEO had been validly removed from the Board and dismissed as an employee of the Company in June 2018, in a judgment which considered the responsibilities of directors in their interactions with the board and with shareholders (Stobart Group Limited v William Andrew Tinkler [2019] EWHC 258 (Comm)).
- Advising on a claim in the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court examining in what circumstances solicitors have the benefit of an equitable lien for payment of their costs out of any settlement monies received (Bott & Co vs Ryanair [2019] EWCA Civ 143).
