The Government has postponed its plans to privatise the Land Registry following strong criticism of the proposals.
The Neighbourhood Planning and Infrastructure Bill, which went before Parliament on Wednesday evening, was expected to include the sale of the Land Registry. However, plans to sell the Land Registry have been dropped from legislation and the process delayed pending the outcome of the March consultation which closed in May.
