Mr Justice Hamblen hands down a significant award for damages against Lewis Silkin


The High Court today found that Lewis Silkin LLP, and in particular Mr Michael Burd, their Joint Head of Employment, were negligent in failing to give advice to the Claimant – Mr Tim Wright – in relation to the appropriate jurisdiction clause for his contract of employment with Deccan Chronicle Holdings Limited in 2008.

Mr Wright was represented by Nicholas Davidson QC of 4 New Square and Muhammed Haque QC of Crown Office Chambers, instructed by Simon Walton of Rosenblatt.
